International School organized the activity of “Chinese cultural tour”
From Nov. 4th to 9th, International School, BFA organized overseas students to Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou for the activity of “Chinese cultural tour” aiming to show them Chinese traditional historical culture and achievements after reform and opening-up.
In Shanghai, the overseas students paid a visit to Shanghai Film Museum. They had a general understanding of early Chinese film development with the detailed description. In the interactive game experience, overseas students were aware of fundamental principles of film shooting and production. They’ll benefit from the tour for their further study in BFA.
In Suzhou, the overseas students visited Suzhou Silk Museum where they experienced the manufacture process of Chinese silk under instructions of staff. They appreciated Chinese traditional handicraft after watching the silk handiworks.
In Wuzhen, the students visited the well-known Wuzhen West Scenic Zone. They understood the history of Wuzhen and its Jiangnan (the southern reaches of Yangtze River) water town culture with explanation of the tour guide. Wuzhen Theater Festival was going on when we visited there and several theater groups performed. The students will benefit from the tour to Wuzhen when they shoot a film.
In the evening of Nov. 9, all students returned Beijing and the activity of “Chinese cultural tour” came to end. The International School will have more such activities to improve cultural exchange between China and foreign countries in the pattern of making overseas students experience Chinese culture.
