In the evening of October 12, 2017, the school showed the Director Zhang Aijia's latest film -- " Love Education ”. After the showing, Director Zhang Aijia and Tian Zhuangzhuang (leading role of the film) went up on the stage conducting in-depth exchanges with the audience.
The film -- " Love Education”, in which Zhang Aijia, Tian Zhuangzhuang, Lang Yueting, Song Ningfeng and Wu Yanshu etc. starred, is centred around plight and entanglement of several members of a family. A simple story involved three different love, showing the difference of emotional views and lifestyle of several generations, and leading to a series of warmth and touch related to love.
Ms. Zhang Aijia, an excellent actor, director and screenwriter, has been engaging in film for forty years. In hundreds of the films in which she played the leading role, Zhang Aijia won best actress winner and nominee etc., including Taiwan Golden Horse Film Festival Award, Hongkong Film Festival Award and etc. The films “Tempting Heart” and “20 30 40” and other excellent films she directed won good reputation in the world.
Tian Zhuangzhuang, one of the leading role of the film, is China’s fifth session of famous directors. The films Rustler, Spring in a Small Town, Wu Qingyuan and other classic works won several domestic and foreign film festival award nominations and Best Director Award. In addition to writing, he served as director of Directing Department, and Postgraduate Tutor of Directing Department. Conscientiously involved in the education, Tian Zhuangzhuang trained numerous young filmmakers.
The film Love Education has won the seven award nominees for best feature film, best director, best actor, best actress, best supporting actress, best original screenplay, and best original movie song of the 54th Golden Horse Award.The interchange activities of this showing has attracted a large audience. All the seats are occupied, and the atmosphere scene is very hot.
During the interchange activities after the end of the showing, students started to ask the director and leading role the questions from the aspects of theme expression, character creation and director conception. As to “understanding and perception of love”, the director Zhang Aijia said, “I think love is natural and instinctive behavior, but it still needs to learn, including how to create love in different environments, considering what we should do other than requiring others to do.” Tian Zhuangzhuang said, “love is the most easy to say, but the most difficult to do; love is to give and pay.”
In this film, grandma played by Ms. Wu Yanzhu touched the audience. Regarding the role of grandma who adheres to a lifetime of love, the director Zhang Aijia said bluntly, "grandma is a very simple woman, but she insisted her love.” She believed the three women have romance of a teenage girl. They are tortured by love, but insist on their own love, so that they become fascinating women.”
Talking about the feelings about this film, Tian Zhuangzhuang said, "the director put a very realistic story into false emotion. This film touched the most warm, gentle, and powerful spot in our heart.” In response to the questions by students, Mr Tian also talked about "the director should learn to do homework in life, just like the 3 years’ creation of screenplay for this film, each day is a process of homework for director.”
The film, a complex of laughter and tears, won the unanimous approval of students. In the interchange stage, the detailed and in-depth interpretation of the two directors made us benefited so much. The film Love Education will be shown to the public on October 27, 2017. I sincerely recommend those who didn’t participate in this showing can go to the theater enjoying it.
