From September 2 to September 6, the First BRICS Countries Film Festival was held in New Delhi, capital of India; and Professor Hou Keming of Department of Directing – Deputy Director of Academic Board of BFA served as a Chinese judge.

At the award party held on September 6, Huo Jianqi, an alumnus of BFA, won the Best Director Award because of Xuan Zang; and Song of the Phoenix directed by Wu Tianming, also an alumnus of BFA, won the Honorable Mention.

The Indian film THITHI won the Best Film Award. And the 2nd BRICS Countries Film Festival will be held in Chengdu, China next year.
